U16 Boys' NPL

NPL RGB VERT  Grad

Glen Eira’s Boys’ High Performance Squads are coached by professional academy coaches who train them 3 times per week. The squads provide an environment to maximise player development, ensuring refined techniques, creativity and game insights are transferred into matches (via competitive environment). The players are guided through the relevant age-specific elements of playing a dynamic possession based style of football.

  • Suitable for highly-skilled boys born 2006.
  • Junior Boys’ NPL competition comprises 33 matches played from Feb till Oct
  • Professional Coaches
  • 3 Training sessions per week
  • Additional Coaching fees are payable
  • Venue for Home matches is Lord Reserve, Carnegie and Knox Regional Football Centre.
  • Venue for Training sessions during terms 2 & 3 is Mackie Road Reserve, East Bentleigh.

Trials for the U16 Boys' NPL squad will take place on

U16 & U17 Boys' Graded Teams

FV Logo

Graded teams offer boys the opportunity to play with, and against, players of a similar skill level. Graded teams offer good skills development whilst maximising player satisfaction.

  • Suitable for aspiring boys who are dedicated and focused on the game and their own development.
  • Glen Eira (Leopards) will start in FV Boys' 17A community league.
  • Glen Eira (Knights) will start in FV Boys' 16A community league.
  • Glen Eira (Stars) will likely start in FV Boys' 16C community league.
  • Matches are played on Sundays from early April till early Sept
  • Volunteer Coaches
  • 2 Training sessions per week


Gradings sessions are in November and December 2021. Exact session times and venue information will be emailed to those who Register an Expression of Interest in Joining.

Friendship-based teams for boys who are in it for the enjoyment of the game and the improved social outcomes/life skills that come from participating in organised team sport.

  • Glen Eira (Sharks) will likely start in FV Boys' 17D community league.
  • Glen Eira (Rhinos) will likely start in FV Boys' 16D community league.
  • Matches are played on Sundays from early April till early Sept
  • Volunteer Coaches. No additional coaching fees are payable.
  • 1 Training session per week

Try-out sessions occur in February/March 2022.  Session times and venue details will be sent to to those who register an Expression of Interest to join.
